ARTISTIC STATEMENT

地上有萬千菌種、昆蟲和野獸，人類為何自信可以治理這地？我們正面臨迫在眉睫的生態危機，被輕視的龐大力量反噬……也許在人類中心視覺所構想的威脅面前，我們可以戒掉自以為是萬物之靈的謬誤，謙虛學習和重拾對未知之物的虔誠與敬畏。

電影導演許雅舒、藝術家黃嘉瀛及舞蹈家黃碧琪再度聯手創作，探索人類面對與回應真菌爆破、昆蟲逐漸消亡，以至哺乳類動物繁衍後代等生物自然循環的自我表現！

演出以廣東話進行，不設劃位。歡迎觀眾自行在偽裝成自然景觀的場景內選擇立足容身之處，觀看生物多樣性，感受現場多重聲音所營造的景觀效果。

There are countless species of bacteria, insects, and wild animals on the Earth. Why are humans confident that they can govern this land? We are now facing a multitude of interconnected environmental crises and the underestimated immense power that strikes back... Perhaps in the face of the threats conceived by the anthropocentric worldview, we can abandon the fallacy of considering ourselves the masters of all things, humbly learn, and rediscover our reverence and awe for the unknown.

Film director Rita Hui, artist Wong Ka-ying, and dancer Wong Pik-kei collaborate once again to explore human responses to and interactions with the natural cycles of fungal explosions, the gradual disappearance of insects, and the reproduction of mammalian species.

The performance is conducted in Cantonese. With its free-seating setting, audience members are welcome to find their own place to stand or sit within the disguised natural landscape, to witness biodiversity and experience the immersive effect of the soundscapes.
